It has been awhile since I have written anything, but here I am. Awhile back I went to Pono Farm Soul Kitchen with my cousins for brunch and it is a gem. We went in around 11 am and it was pretty empty at the time which was even better because we did not have to wait on others, and it was nice because it was a walk in and seat yourself type of thing. I loved the vibe of and ambiance of the place it gave off a chill and nonchalant feeling.
Pono Farm Soul Kitchen is a Japanese and breakfast&brunch sort of place. It is located in Hollywood on Sandy Blvd
For brunch I ordered half a French toast with bacon fried rice on the side. I know it sounds like a weird combination, but I think it worked out in the end because it was a lot of food and was delicious, plus the price was not too bad. The total ended up being $12 for me which I think was a pretty good deal. One of my cousins ordered miso soup with scrambled sausages and the other ordered a smoked salmon Benedict and they both loved their dishes.
I am definitely going to come back to Pono's for brunch and to try dinner as well. The people there was very welcoming and attentive. The place without a doubt has a hipster vibe to it, so if that is your type of scene do try it!
